We checked out The Local Cut and were not disappointed! The Watermelon Mojito was fresh and delicious. The Trash Can Nachos are better than Sully's, in my opinion. The Western Burger and fries were excellent, too, and the service was fantastic. My only criticism is that we ordered our burgers medium well, and they came out more on the medium rare side. Other than that, it was a great first experience, and we will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!
This place is Awesome! Great food and great service. I highly recommend the Cut Ramen although I don't quite understand why this pasta dish is in the sandwiches/handhelds portion of the menu. Super delicious!
Decent little spot in old town Purcellville serving decent fresh local food at a reasonable price. I would say the local cut just makes the cut as a good restaurant. This spot is tucked away in an older shopping center thats been in Purcellville forever and has gotten a lot of buzz. Their is limited quality food options like this around the town so its nice to see a new alternative which this is.
The food indeed seems local, fresh, the menu is small but well balanced with options for all. The prices for the food matched the quality, it was decent, not too expensive, you get what you pay for. It is very reasonable for families. The seafood seemed surprisingly fresh and tasty, really like the scallops they offer.
The Ramen noodle entree dish is really fun and unique. Noticed a nice bar environment with good lighting and several TVs to chill in as well. Staff seemed very kind, friendly.
The parking out front is brutal and could use some work, its pretty messy and Im sure a hassle when busy. Atmosphere was welcoming feels like a seafood spot in a quiet ocean town, decor is well fine. All in all this is a good spot for a bite in town.
This place has had a positive buzz online with locals since opening, so we decided to give it a try. There's a good variety of options on the menu. Service was friendly, and we really enjoyed the food.
We had the trash can nachos, and burgers. The nachos were absolutely great. Lots of cheese, lots of toppings. Burgers were also very good. Cooked perfectly to our requested temp.
The only downside is that it's a small space, with limited seating for groups of 3 or more. If there's more than 2 of you planning to go, I'd advise calling ahead to check on the wait time.
Great way to start the weekend. Lunch at The Local Cut was fantastic! Cocktail’s are deliciously reasonably priced and the espresso martini was one of the best I’ve ever had. The Korean Chicken Bites have a great tangy kimchi kick to the sauce they’re tossed in and were very tender and juicy (unlike other overcooked/over fried options). The Pork Tostadas were nice and sweet and savory and the wonton was nice and crispy in order to hold the weight of the topping. They were also a perfect size to eat the entire thing in one bite (trust me, it’s doable and worth the flavor you get from enjoying it in one go). As far as entree’s go it’s not common to find a sea bass, let alone a good one in the area. This fish was perfectly flaky with a very well done mushroom risotto that was lucious and creamy with just the right texture: the rice was not overcooked nor undercooked. If you’re craving a good fish dish I highly recommend. And to top it all off we had the best red velvet cake I’ve ever had. It was extremely light and fluffy with the most delicious Ferrero Rocher mouse. Definitely a must when you’re in Purcellville. Hell, definitely a must even if you’re half an hour away. You will not be disappointed.
The Local Cut is off to a great start!
The cocktails: we ordered the Blood Orange Crush and the Mojito. Both were really sweet and a little warm, so we opted for a glass of wine instead. The wine was good.
The food: we started with the Korean Chicken bites. They were crispy and juicy, delicious! For our entrees we had Helicopters and Roundabouts, and the salmon. Both were FANTASTIC! The best part was by far the red velvet cake. So light and fluffy!
The service was a little slow, but for a restaurant that just opened two weeks ago, they did a great job for Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait to come back!
Great new spot.. food was amazing. Service was great! Everything we had was incredible. Full of flavor and fresh. Jessica our server was fantastic. Thank u all for a great lunch. Will be back!!!
Wife and I decided to try The Local Cut tonight as we waited for our kids before Homecoming pickup. Absolutely amazing food and great service. The Spin Dip (artichoke, spinach and cheese) was excellent. My wife had the Tipsy Steak which was very flavorful and I had the Salmon Oscar which was very well prepared. Kind of surprised to see some of the negative reviews - owner seemed personable and was circulating amongst the patrons. Bar area looks really cool - will definitely come back. This might be the best place In Purcellville to take your best girl for a date. Our waitress was a gem - wish Au had spoke to the owner to tell him how great she was.
